Complete stone design for resort-like and beachside luxury residence.

Inspired by Miami’s shoreline, the project included both interior and exterior finishes of the finest, most prestigious beachside homes in Miami.

Development

Scouring the earth for the appropriate stone took almost 2 years. We selected a micro quarry that took 2 years to produce a stone that resembles the oceans’ waves, which in the end, yielded less than 10% of usable material. Some things are worth the wait, and this definitely was.

Conceptual Design

The panoramic façades integrate the Miami shoreline into the interior finishes of all 190 units. The elegant Calacatta natural stone wall curvings and the combinations of Statuarietto, Calacatta Gold, and Blue Macaubas stones throughout the building become part of a statement.

Execution

Every bathroom was dry laid so that the veins and colors were continuous throughout. We created custom mosaics from matching slabs so that the color was homogenous between changes to different textures and finishes. We procured custom stone blocks from the quarry to align curved pieces with book-matched slabs.
