The relocation of the Professional Golf Association to Frisco, Texas required the development of a substantial convention hotel and resort. This was essential to cater to the high demand for guest suites and amenities generated by the significant influx of visitors and participants.
Tackling a vast footprint and drawing from the rich local stone culture of Texas limestones posed a formidable challenge in identifying the ideal stone for the application. The extensive lobbies spanning multiple levels, catering to ballrooms and golf events, demanded thorough testing to pinpoint the perfect stone. Despite the complexity, we successfully retained the rugged aesthetic of Texas stone while infusing a touch of luxury, creating a captivating feature for the international golf scene.

We sourced stones from local quarries in Texas and repurposed remnants of local stones, crushing them for use in terrazzo applications to integrate the design. The project blended traditional hand-chiseling methods and modern technology, creating durable terrazzos with soft stone, resulting in a cohesive look across the extensive property. Spanning over 600,000 square feet of interior space, it demanded thousands of cubic tons of stones for a successful execution.
