Nested in beautiful Palm Beach, the Bristol is a show-stopping high-end residential building with a sparkling glass waterfront façade and elegant modern interiors.
The challenges for this project became opportunities for innovation and craftsmanship. We navigated the intricacies of seven distinct water feature designs and incorporated over ten variations of natural stone flooring, transforming the project into a perfect embodiment of beauty and elegance.
In South Florida, there’s a heightened demand for light-colored stones for exterior features, particularly given the region’s scorching summer days. The challenge lies in securing large-sized stones that can retain a pristine appearance. Fortunately, we identified a shell stone quarry capable of substantial production, ensuring an abundant supply of large-format slabs and cubic stones to craft all the hardscapes surrounding the building.
The prime oceanfront location, at the heart of Palm Beach and right on the Flagler bridge, rendered key and coral stones pivotal in shaping the aesthetic design. The search for a substantial quantity of monolithic stone became integral to crafting the overall design for all hardscapes.
While many projects measure in square footage, this particular one measured in cubic meters. The number of blocks essential for water features and hardscapes could produce a staggering 2 million square feet of tile. This project required significant commitment, as evidenced by dedicating over 2,500 hours to CNC work and investing an additional 10,000 hours in the custom fabrication of cubic stone.
